A workshop on the production and use of the biocontrol agent Trichoderma is underway in Nepal. Twenty-eight scientists have gathered in the central Nepalese city of Bharatpur to learn more about how to develop and produce the beneficial fungus known as Trichoderma. This naturally-found fungus is an inexpensive, environmentally-friendly bioagent that farmers are using instead of expensive chemical fungicides to help them raise healthy produce.
