The Integrated Pest Management Innovation Lab (IPM IL) is a global USAID program led by Virginia Tech with a consortium of Universities including Penn State and Ohio State. USAID Nepal has provided additional support through an associate award to the IPM Lab to support the Feed the Future Initiative in Nepal with IPM packages, approaches, demonstrations, and supply chain development for plant protection for major vegetable crops.

International Development Enterprises (iDE) Nepal is leading the program, with the Centre for Environmental and Agricultural Policy Research, Extension and Development (CEAPRED) as a major implementing partner. The program is also being supported by NARC, DOA, HICAST, and Agricare Nepal Pvt. Ltd. In the current phase (2009-14), emphasis has been placed on development of IPM packages for several vegetable crops. Recently, through an associate award from USAID/Nepal Mission, the Nepal program was extended to support establishment of a structure to facilitate technology transfer of IPM packages for high-value vegetable crops in the mid-western terai (District: Banke) and mid hills (District: Surkhet).
