John Cardina

John Cardina is a professor in the Department of Horticulture and Crop Science at Ohio State University. His research addresses emerging issues in invasive plant ecology and management. Recent emphasis is on development of new crops and sustainable practices for crop production and maintenance of natural and managed systems. He has published widely on weed seedbank processes, population dynamics, and use of plants to solve environmental problems in the context of ecological design. Of particular interest to him is plant-human interactions and the ways people perceive, value, use, and care for plants in managed and natural environments.
